Broadcast & Communications

Audio
In audio applications, clarity, minimal latency, and signal fidelity are non-negotiable, especially as systems become smaller and more power-constrained.
Engineers must juggle distortion, electromagnetic interference, compact form-factors, and compatibility across formats. Tight deadlines and evolving standards make the acceleration of development even more vital.
High-performance audio solutions must protect against signal noise, interference, and signal degradation, even in small, densely packed designs. They often require specialised I/O connectors, shielded cable assemblies, and careful layout to preserve acoustic integrity. Additionally, sound-related electronics are expected to endure long lifecycles and maintain consistent quality across batches.
Our engineering expertise helps customers navigate these challenges with advice on I/O connector selection (including HDMI, DisplayPort, and audio jacks) and shielding techniques to protect signal integrity.
We support rapid prototyping, enabling designers to text audio signal pathways early in the design cycle. With manufacturing in the UK for low to medium volumes and cost-competitive scaling via our Romania and Far East facilities, we ensure production agility without compromising precision or quality.
Moreover, the synergy between our global manufacturing footprint, project management strength and engineering design support helps streamline development timelines, maintain product consistency, and accommodate shifting standards or formats as your audio products evolve.
From bespoke cable assemblies to custom displays and even complete box-build solutions, we stand ready to help create audio electronics that meet the highest expectations.
Video
Video electronics must handle high bandwidth and resolution, maintain colour fidelity and latency standards, and fit into sleek designs, often with tight thermal constraints.
As formats and resolutions advance and new technologies become more common, compatibility and performance need continual attention, all while keeping size, power draw and cost under control.
Our range of displays and ability to produce high-end video cable assemblies ensure your electronics designs delivers the resolution and features you require, without compromise.
Delivering consistent video performance is a complex balancing act. Interfaces must support high data rates without degradation; components must resist EMI; and compact devices still need to manage heat and power effectively. Display technologies, too, must offer excellent visibility, low latency, and long-term stability under varied operating conditions.
When creating unique video-driven applications, GTK's technical team can guide OEMs in selecting and optimising custom display solutions, as well as embedded systems to drive content and accompanying cable assemblies to deliver reliable interconnect.
Our FastTrack prototyping service ensures cables for your designs can be validated early, speeding up iterations and reducing risk.
With global manufacturing capacity, we support scale across our UK, Romania, and Far East production sites. Combined with our engineering design support and project management, we help customers deliver video products that are both visually compelling and robust, keeping pace with evolving standards and market demand.

Telecoms
The telecoms sector is driven by relentless demand for faster networks, expanded capacity and ever-lower latency.
Electronics systems must handle enormous volumes of data with minimal downtime; environmental resilience, scalability and interoperability with legacy systems add further complexity.
Telecoms infrastructure requires electronics that can support high-speed data transfer, while remaining robust in diverse operating conditions, from temperature extremes to outdoor weather exposure.
Equipment lifespans are long, so components must remain reliable and available over many years. As networks scale, there is also pressure to keep costs under control without sacrificing performance.
At GTK, we bring experience in designing and manufacturing custom solutions that meet telecom standards and ensure signal stability, including 5G cable assemblies, embedded infrastructure and network cable assemblies.
Our engineering team works alongside customers to address wider challenges such as thermal management, miniaturisation and compliance, and our global manufacturing footprint enables customers to benefit from both local support and cost-effective high-volume production, ensuring continuity of supply.
Whether supporting large infrastructure projects or specialist networking hardware, we help telecom customers meet market demands with confidence and efficiency.
Equipment
Networking and communications equipment, from routers and servers to switches and hubs, faces the dual challenge of delivering maximum performance while fitting into increasingly compact, thermally demanding environments.
Reliability, serviceability and compliance with strict industry standards are essential, as these systems often operate 24/7.
Equipment manufacturers must balance high-speed data processing with power efficiency, heat management and physical durability. Failures are costly, not only financially but also in terms of customer trust. Designs must also anticipate evolving standards and allow scalability for future demands.
We work closely with equipment developers to provide engineering expertise that ensures solutions meet stringent requirements for reliability and longevity. Our prototyping capabilities allow customers to validate cable assembly designs early in the cycle, reducing risk and accelerating time-to-market.
Through our global manufacturing footprint, we can support both bespoke requirements for both low-volume equipment and large-scale production, with consistent quality controls throughout. This flexibility makes us an ideal partner for networking equipment providers who need to deliver high-performance systems that remain reliable under constant use.

Wireless
Wireless systems underpin modern connectivity, but they face unique challenges: interference management, power efficiency, signal integrity and reliability in diverse environments.
From consumer devices to industrial wireless applications, solutions must be compact, robust and compliant with strict regulatory frameworks.
Wireless technology must deliver consistent performance across a range of frequencies and environments, while minimising latency and power consumption. Devices are expected to be smaller, smarter and longer-lasting, all while integrating seamlessly with wider networks. This makes careful design of interconnects, assemblies and embedded systems critical.
At GTK, we support wireless OEMs with expertise in ensuring reliable signal transmission and robust product design. Our engineering team works closely with customers to address challenges such as electromagnetic compatibility, antenna placement and miniaturisation.
Our global production capabilities allow us to provide scalable solutions, from low-volume specialist wireless equipment to larger consumer-driven applications. By combining UK engineering support with manufacturing in Romania and the Far East, we help customers achieve the balance between performance, reliability and cost required in this fast-moving sector.
Location & Geo-Tagging
Locational and geo-tagging applications rely on precision, reliability and resilience.
Devices must consistently deliver accurate positional data in real-world conditions where signal interference, environmental exposure and power limitations are constant challenges.
Geo-tagging systems must perform reliably across diverse use cases, from logistics and fleet tracking to personal devices and industrial equipment. This requires electronics that can maintain signal stability, integrate seamlessly with wider communication networks, and withstand challenging conditions such as temperature extremes, vibration and humidity.
GTK’s engineering expertise helps customers design electronics that balance precision with durability. We deliver FastTrack prototyping to validate performance early and ensure compliance with strict standards.
Our global manufacturing footprint allows us to provide cost-effective, scalable solutions that meet demand requirements at every stage of your product lifecycle. By combining reliable design with agile supply chain management, we help customers in the geo-tagging sector deliver dependable products that support accurate, real-time location services.

Our Certifications
In addition to having ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 approvals, our UK manufacturing facility is approved under the UL Wiring Harness Traceability programme. This means we offer complete traceability on all of the components used in the manufacture of wiring harnesses and defence cable assemblies.
