July 23, 2018
Mandy Kemp is an Accounts Assistant in GTK’s finance department and has been cycling for several years, and completed the London to Brighton bike ride several years ago.
“I enjoy cycling for fitness and social reasons and first took part in the London to Brighton ride back in the 1980s,” said Mandy. “I try to get out on may bike at least twice a week and aim to do between 20 to 30 miles each time. I use an app called Endemondo to track my mileage for each ride. I am now up to 40 miles now and took part in the Basingstoke Big Wheel this month as part of my training.
“When Candice mentioned the possibility of a group of employees from GTK taking part in a charity bike ride, I was keen to participate. It is such fun cycling in a group and getting to know people a bit more. We all had our own ideas about which charity to select, but when we heard about Lily-May, the decision was easy. It’s such a good cause and I hope we can raise a huge amount for this fantastic hospital.”
