GTK has
introduced a low-cost customisable cable assembly range
for use within PCs, laptops, PDAs, computer peripherals,
mobile phones, cameras and office equipment. The "In
the Box" interconnect range offers significant
cost savings on many combinations of ribbon and flat
flexible cable, and other space saving connector styles.
"In the Box" products cover a wide variety
of applications, from SCSI, IDE and FPDI (flat panel
display interface) cables to brightness control and
audio connectors. Low-profile, high-pin-count connectors
with pitch down to 0.5 mm are available.
With particular emphasis on ribbon and flat flexible cable
assemblies, especially useful for linking PCBs in hinged
laptops and other equipment where space is at a premium,
GTK can provide considerable customisation in terms of
both connector types and cables. Cable shielding options
include metalised fabric or braiding, ferrite rings and
in-line filters. Earthing links, protective heat-shrink
sheathing and preformed assemblies can also be specified.
