Bracknell, UK - August. 11, 2003 — GTK UK Ltd (“GTK”), the European sales and marketing arm of Taiwanese connector and cable assembly manufacturer Goldtek Electric, today announced the acquisition of the ISL Electronics Division, formerly based in Chalgrove, Oxfordshire. The business will be incorporated into a new Components Group to be based at GTK’s current offices in Bracknell, Berkshire.

ISL offered bespoke electronic material supply solutions to manufacturers. Through years of experience they developed a highly competitive and efficient range of services, including, Kitting, Kanban, and JIT methods of supply. As renowned experts in component sourcing and supply to OEMs and Sub Contractors, they form the backbone of the new Components Group. In addition, the Group will continue to offer a complete board assembly service and specialist support in Frequency control, Opto-Electronics, LCD’s and Printed circuit board manufacture through Franchise / Agency agreements with key manufacturers. All tailored to the individual client requirement.

The new group will be staffed by all the key sales and logistics people from ISL.
